What is an EICR and when is one required?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report assesses the safety and condition of an existing electrical installation. EICRs are required at regular intervals in line regulations, legislation, and British standards for commercial premises and residential rental properties, and are often needed before fit-out or refurbishment works begin.
